<title>jihad4o: Food for hiking</title>
<link>http://spiderstamina.com/forum/index.php?a=vtopic&amp;t=3</link>
<description>jihad4o: My hiking companions told me that they do not take fatty things to the mountain - they eat high-carb and many of them are vegetarian. On the other hand one of them told me a story about how she went to Altai and the people there ate lard, beef and cod liver.

So I am wondering - what kind of supplies can I grab along? Glass packaging is out of the question, because it is too heavy. So maybe canned cod liver, dried meat, lard(melted or salted), some kind of sausages for the first couple of days... All of these products seem to be too salty. Any ideas or experience to share, anyone?</description>
